Welcome to the first issue
of Access – the
news bulletin from Bruker AXS. With this and subsequent issues
we will keep you up to date with all our latest developments
in Single Crystal and General Diffraction as well as X-ray
Fluorescence.
This has been a year of great change for Bruker AXS Ltd.
We have relocated our business from Congleton to our new
premises in Coventry and we would like to thank all of our
customers for their patience and support throughout 2005.
We

GEO-QUANT
GEO-QUANT
is the new Bruker AXS solution for the simple analysis of trace
elements in geological materials. Accurate and precise data for 22 key trace elements is provided
in less than 30 minutes analysis time. GEO-QUANT is a pre-calibrated
package that allows trace analysis to be carried out within hours
of the instruments installation.
GEO-QUANT is based on international geological Certified Reference
Materials (CRM's) ensuring the highest possible accuracy. This solution
incorporates all of Bruker AXS' experience and know-how of geochemical
analysis into a simple to use program which can be operated by both
beginners and experts alike.
GEO-QUANT is
combined with the world class S4 PIONEER, the flagship of Bruker
AXS’ powerful range of wavelength
dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence (WDXRF) spectrometers to
offer unrivalled precision
and limits of detection.
A quick and simple sample preparation method is provided that includes
all of the necessary accessories.

TOPAS
V3 training?
The
new TOPAS version 3 launched this year features
significant improvements in the areas of structure
and quantitative analysis. We
are planning to run a seminar next year
to provide customers with the opportunity
to gain practical understanding and experience.
A training course of 1 or 2 days is proposed for
March or April 2006 to be held at our new Coventry site. With
one day for Quantitavive phase analysis and one for Structure
Solution and Indexing, customers can attend either or
both days. If such a course sparks your interest please
